My very lovely couple Kyle and Troy were married in August 2025 at Goodwood House and it was absolutely the perfect location them! As a couple they live in NYC, Kyle an American herself, and Troy a Brit who grew up locally to Goodwood and happened to have ties to the family who own the Goodwood Estate, so of course it was the ideal setting for their wedding which was to be a mix of American and British family and friends.

After a traditional church ceremony nearby, everyone headed back to Goodwood House in style - a Rolls Royce for our bridal couple and vintage buses for the guests. It was a gorgeous summers day, so drinks and canapes were served outside with the building facade making an impressive backdrop.

One thing we had many discussions about was the cultural differences between American and British weddings and how we'd find the perfect sweet spot to suit both sides. Here in England, it's common place to have a seated 3 course meal with speeches followed by dancing. The dinner is a big focus, and often served at a leisurely pace meaning you can be seated for 2+ hours before the dancing begins. Through working with many American couples now, I know the food comes second. It's more typical to have a less formal flow, and to have some dances before/in-between dinner and so the conversations began on how we'd make this work...

The structured planner in me twitched a little at the thought of how 'messy' it would be to have the band stop starting, guests up and down, dinner being served between first dances, parents dances and band sets, along with speeches being thrown in the mix BUT of course if that's the couples' vision, that is what we'll make happen, and I have to say it ended up being so much fun! The atmosphere was high from the get go, guests partied on and off from the moment the band began, stopping briefly to have the relevant course served and listen to the occasional speech.

Emmy Lou Kelly was there to capture everything for Kyle and Troy, and she was just the most perfect fit for this fun, loving couple! You can see from the photos they just embraced the stay from start to end and just really enjoyed their day together which is what it's all about!
