Welcome to a world of wedding ramblings.
Here you'll typically find an array of topics from fun, inspirational posts to a more thoughtful perspective on something topical.
There's no particular order or continuity to my blogging (sorry!) I just share my thoughts with you as and when they come to me. or I need to get something off my chest.
If there is anything in particular you'd like my take on then just let me know!
I have noticed recently that the high street is KILLING it when it comes to bridal fashion; I’m not necessarily talking for your main wedding dress, but there are some unreal looks about for pre and post wedding events, so I’ve pulled together some of my current favourites.
So many of my couples have small registry office ceremonies before the big wedding day, especially for destination weddings. For this, you want something special, but nothing that takes away from your actual wedding dress.
This little two piece from Reformation is perfect! I love the simplicity of this outfit. It’s chic, the tailored look feels smart for the event and you could pair with some bolder accessories, and of course a great pair of shoes!
RRP: £448
Iff you’re looking for something minimalist with a bit of structure then Odd Muse is an obvious choice! It’s literally what they do best.
Much like the above this is simple and elegant and I think it would look super chic with a sleek updo.
RRP: £135
This one is definitely giving bridal, but being a mini it’s fun, flirty and would make an ideal city hall dress. I think this could work beautifully with a short veil, plain tulle veil too!
RRP: £590
If you’re planning a pre-wedding event that requires a more formal dress code then I think these are gorgeous options.
Another Reformation dress this one is just stunning, probably my favourite of all the looks! It’s so elegant, and the cut is just beautiful.
This kind of hair style, and a statement earring too!
RRP: £848
I’m a real fan of a long bodice like this; not the easiest to wear but if you can pull it off then it’s a gorgeous look, I love the pleated skirt! This particular dress is Because of Alice.
I am loving the simple, sleek hair style with it too.
RRP: £150
Corsets are having a moment right now; this Meshki combination of the simple top and gathered skirt is beautiful.
RRP: £125
Sunshine, beach feels, you’re getting married abroad and need the perfect Summery outfit that also feels special? Look no further…
This Alexandra Miro dress ticks all the boxes…bridal white, a metallic shimmer, elegant and flowing. If you’re getting married abroad this will be a great additional to your suitcase!
RRP: £570
The pleated leg will make this really flattering, but what this image isn’t showing you is the amazing statement bow on the back!
This Nobody’s Child jumpsuit screams relaxed post wedding lunch in the sun.
RRP: £120
This dress is STUNNING, if you’re getting married abroad or just having a summer time wedding with a formal pre-wedding night then this Georgia Hardinge gown is such a gorgeous option.
RRP: £475
I really like this outfit from Rat and Boa but if you’re not feeling quite as bold then a little lace bralet underneath would also work really nicely.
RRP: Trousers – £160, blazer – £215
It’s such a trend now for brides (and grooms!) to have two looks; you want to feel special for the whole day, but you also want to feel you get dance until your heart’s content to the entertainment you so carefully chose, so a change of look is sometimes needed if the main dress just isn’t practical for the dancefloor.
This! The structure, the colour, the glitz and the matching scarf! This is an amazing bridal party look from Eliya The Label.
RRP: £516 (AU company – price may vary)
This dress from Self Portrait is just so fun (not that the model’s pose would have you believe it!), I can totally see a bride having the best time on the dancefloor in this one.
RRP: £320
The shape of this Mint Velvet top is unreal, with a plain white pair of trousers and some fab heels this is such a good party outfit!
RRP: £135
There is so much out there at the moment, the high street is levelling up! Happy shopping…as if a bride-to-be needs any encouragement!
