Welcome to a world of wedding ramblings.
Here you'll typically find an array of topics from fun, inspirational posts to a more thoughtful perspective on something topical.
There's no particular order or continuity to my blogging (sorry!) I just share my thoughts with you as and when they come to me. or I need to get something off my chest.
If there is anything in particular you'd like my take on then just let me know!
If you follow me on Instagram (@weddingsbyemilycharlotte) and Twitter (@weddingsbyec) you’ll know that I’ve just got back from an amazing trip to Italy. Not only did I meet some fabulous ladies but I was also introduced to several gorgeous venues – one in particular had a lovely little garden so mentally I started planning the perfect tea party wedding…a long, rustic wooden table, lanterns decorating the tables, fairy lights twinkling in the trees in the evening, but my inspiration centred on bright, bold and beautiful colours:

Strong colours are perfect for a summer wedding and can be easily incorporated into all aspects of your wedding, from the invitations to the chair dressing. If you’re feeling bold then go for a vibrant bouquet which will really stand out. Alternatively, if you’re not quite as daring then try little touches of bright colours as these can be equally striking, such as this flower-fall wall.

Now I know this is all very idyllic if you’re tying the knot somewhere warm and sunny such as Italy, but if you’re getting married in England then no doubt you’re reading this and thinking an outdoor garden reception is a bit risky in the Great British weather (and I don’t blame you!), however a marquee is a fabulous alternative; in my opinion, vibrant colours are at their most stunning when contrasted with a white background…so I dare you, be bright, bold and beautiful.
