Welcome to a world of wedding ramblings.
Here you'll typically find an array of topics from fun, inspirational posts to a more thoughtful perspective on something topical.
There's no particular order or continuity to my blogging (sorry!) I just share my thoughts with you as and when they come to me. or I need to get something off my chest.
If there is anything in particular you'd like my take on then just let me know!
Very exciting news here at Weddings by Emily Charlotte….we are now officially a recommended planner of brand new wedding venue, Pylewell Park!
Pylewell itself is by no means new; the impressive manor house dates back to the 17th century giving you the perfect, historical backdrop for your day. The owners at Pylewell still live in the main house, and they’ve invested heavily into the estate to make sure it’s wedding ready, with more developments to come over the next few months.
Following the build of their Pavillion, by Simon Bond Events, Pylewell Park officially launched itself into the world of weddings this Autumn. Here’s just a few reasons we’re proud to be a recommended partner…
Relaxed and Flexible:
The team at Pylewell are lovely; they’re relaxed and flexible and within reason, when you hire the venue for the day the grounds are yours to do with what you wish.
You are completely free to choose all of your preferred suppliers, with the exception of catering, (when one of their two lovely catering partners must be used), and fireworks which have to be booked through their preferred supplier (who has prepared noise reducing firework options especially for Pylewell).
Alcohol and bar service can be provided by caterers, however no corkage is charged by the venue themselves, so if you prefer to source your own alcohol then this is absolutely a possibility – of course service and chilling fees will be applied by the caterers but it’s always a nice option to have!
There is a comforting and personal feeling at Pylewell – they even give florists foraging rights so your arrangements can contain pieces from the estate itself for something truly unique.
You can access the property from 10am the day before your wedding making set up and decoration easy for both you and your suppliers.
Whilst there is no onsite accommodation for guests, there are 3 bedrooms available as an optional extra if you and your bridal party wish to stay the night before and get ready within the house, or if you and your new spouse would like to stay onsite the night of the wedding. As well as the 3 in-house bedrooms Pylewell allow your guests to ‘glamp’ within the grounds so accommodation needs can be covered.
Grounds Galore!
When hiring Pylewell Park the main house is only used in the event of bad weather (with an indoor ceremony capacity of approximately 60-70 guests), so you’re mainly paying for the grounds, but they certainly don’t disappoint.
There is a vast amount of space available for you to use as you wish – a new gazebo for an outdoor ceremony, endless lawns for garden games and a drinks reception and most impressively SO many photo opportunities; within the private estate is a 15 acre lake, 27 acres of gardens and a private beach with views of the Solent from the house, so your photographer really will be spoilt for choice.
The Pylewell Pavilion
I’ve touched upon this already, by Pylewell have created a cross between a permanent marquee and an indoor room with a maximum capacity of 200.
Included within your rental fee are rustic, extra wide trestle tables and chairs for approx. 150 guests, which have been made especially for the venue. Of course if you prefer to hire in alternatives then this is no problem!
Within the Pavilion, as well as the main table space, there’s also a built in bar, space for the dancefloor, some casual furniture and of course the loos, so it’s well equipped for your reception meal, cake cutting and dancing. The decor is neutral, with a modern country feel so you can decorate or theme it as you wish.
Adjoining the Pavilion is an outdoor terrace which can be used in good weather, plus there are plans for outdoor firepits to be built so warm evenings are definitely on the agenda!
More Information
Having only been open for bookings for a few weeks Pylewell are already receiving great interest and have taken bookings for both 2019 and 2020 already.
