Welcome to a world of wedding ramblings.
Here you'll typically find an array of topics from fun, inspirational posts to a more thoughtful perspective on something topical.
There's no particular order or continuity to my blogging (sorry!) I just share my thoughts with you as and when they come to me. or I need to get something off my chest.
If there is anything in particular you'd like my take on then just let me know!
It’s been a little while since I’ve written a blog post. I’m very much still riding the corona-coaster; one minute I’m feeling hugely optimistic and excited for upcoming weddings, the next I still can’t get my head around another summer with so many postponed weddings…if only I had a pound for everytime I questioned how we are still in this situation eh?!
I’ll be honest, because of this my creativity has been lacking at times. It’s hard to generate fresh new content when there is really nothing going on, BUT one thing that has remained within my control is my website, so I’ve been squirreling away in the background taking things up a notch. After a lot of hours staring at my computer screen I can officially say the new website is now LIVE…Weddings by Emily Charlotte has been given a fresh new face and I LOVE IT! I hope you do too!
Apart from stepping things up on the website front, not much has changed. I may have been a bit quieter on the socials lately but I am still very much here; speaking daily with my 2021 couples. My heart goes out to you all, even more so to those who have already postponed plans once from 2020. We really didn’t think we’d still be here did we? I desperately hope some destination weddings can still take place this year, but at the moment it’s just a horrible game of ‘wait and see’, one that I am playing along with you as Alex and I debate what to do about our own wedding plans. We’re all holding on with baited breath, waiting to see what the April travel announcements bring. If I’m honest, I think there will be further postponements this year which is gutting…I so want your wedding days to happen! All I can say is if that is the case, I will be here to make the process as smooth as possible for you. I hate not knowing all the answers – my job is to problem solve – but we can only take it day by day, as we have been doing the whole way through. Whatever the situation, we’ll tackle it together.
On a more positive note, 2022 weddings are coming together really very nicely. A large amount of my time at the moment is being spent progressing plans for next years weddings and I’m already SO excited for the season…gorgeous venues, including some I haven’t worked at before, super talented suppliers onboard, stunning flower arrangements being planned and delicious sounding menus are being discussed.
It’s hard to stay upbeat all the time, but when I think of these things all coming to fruition it makes me very happy indeed!
