Let me introduce you to a lesser known Cotswolds wedding venue, a hidden gem that oozes laid-back luxury…Whalley Farm.
Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Whalley Farm, and in all honesty I didn’t know what to expect. Even as I entered the driveway, with signs of rural life and a working farm, the property remained elusive as on arrival the venues main features are a little hidden, but this gives a lovely feeling of exclusivity.
As I stepped through the gates, I was immediately in front of breathtaking countryside views; vast and expansive, it really feels like you’re in your own private slice of the Cotswolds.

I was instantly met with a warm, friendly greeting from owners Jo and Henry, and was swiftly introduced to Henry’s parents. From the get-go, it’s clear this is more than just a house, it’s a home with an inviting family feeling oozing from it.
The couple live in the farmhouse behind, so they’re close by should you need anything during your stay, and they definitely give the impression that they’re quietly there to help whilst not intruding.
Eager for a tour, Jo showed us around and I fell in love with the decor; every room is so beautifully finished but what’s rare is Whalley Farm has the perfect blend of luxury touches and high-end finishes whilst remaining comfortable and welcoming. I could absolutely see myself staying here, and that means I can also see it being a great space for my couples and their loved ones.

If you’re looking for an intimate Cotswolds wedding venue, somewhere to host a weekend wedding with immediate friends and family, then this charming property will tick your boxes. It’s possible to sleep 22 people onsite, across the main house, the barn and another outbuilding all of which are beautifully finished.

For those looking for a multi-day wedding venue Whalley Farm is yours for the weekend; somewhere to disconnect from the noise, and connect with your closest people.
As I walked around the grounds I commented on how peaceful it felt; somewhere to truly switch off and relax.
Whalley Farm boasts a chic, stylish indoor pool area with large windows to give a feeling of being amongst the outdoors; a perfect place to have a post-wedding pool party, or to simply relax ahead of your wedding day.
There’s also a sauna, and treatment rooms should you wish to arrange any beauty treatments for you and your bridal party.

For the wedding day itself, there is a lovely event room which can sit 60 for a ceremony or dinner; it has large floor to ceiling glass doors so you can make the most of the sweeping views.
A marquee is recommended here so you have more event space to play with, especially if you have wedding of more than 50/60 guests.

Whalley Farm is available to book via Unique Home Stays (and images above are all sourced from there), but should you have any questions or would like to know more about hosting your wedding at this beautiful Cotswolds wedding venue, then please also feel free to reach out to me or Jo directly for more information.
